To build confidence I draw on the work of Bruner, Vygotsky and Rogers which entails scaffolding the student so they receive considerable support in order to build their confidence. Following this the student begins to operate with their own potential.
To understand the process requires understanding where a student is at and where their potential is. It also requires gauging their current abilities drawing on Vygotsky The aim is to work with a student to build their confidence and this requires a person centred approach throughout using Rogers.
The aim is to work with the student so they propel themselves forward.
