My first love is exploring the world venturing up mountains and along coastlines with my dog. I am a mature woman well travelled with experience of working with many international as well as national curriculums. Being a dog lover I also walk dogs for other pet owners who need that extra pair of hands. I have been a teacher for almost twenty years and have loved the laughter and banter in the classroom. Watching others thrive and being a part of another souls success is a privilege.

My personal mission is to make a difference wherever I am in the world and I aim to do this by providing meaningful learning experiences. I believe in engaging learning experiences with targeted and timely personal feedback to learners to foster intrinsic motivation, involving learners in their own assessment processes. I consider variations of instruction to match the learning situations: asynchronous, small-group while encouraging a positive solution-based attitude to teaching and learning. My objective is always to ensure everyone flourishes academically which translates to students exceeding expectations. I believe that each learner has the right to appreciate and develop a realization of their own potential. Therefore I plan my teaching and learning with differentiation, as well as extension; while supporting each learner to ‘level up’. I value data and utilise it to inform teaching and learning, sharing it with all stakeholders.
