I highly recommend Debra. She is a lovely lady who offered my daughter friendly, reliable, high quality teaching in A level history for the last 3 months before her exams. She even prepared stuff and looked over her work outside of the actual lesson time. My daughter's confidence and understanding vastly improved - now we only have to wait and see the result.

In such a short time Debra has made such a difference to my son's learning, understanding and articulation for his GCSE in history. He thoroughly enjoys the sessions and Debra applies learning techniques in formats that are aligned to his learning style. I would highly recommend Debra to anyone.

Debra is a punctual ,professional and really effective tutor. Very keen in helping our son, although the time was against her. She managed to make clear for him essential key points in English and History, giving him the opportunity for high performance in GCSES.

Debra has been tutoring my Y9 son for English. She is very punctual, structured and importantly is patiently able to flex her approach for SEN needs. Debra is a responsible tutor for a short time my child really enjoyed

Debra has provided twice weekly tutoring for our Y7 child over the past few months. Punctual, positive, professional, and patient. Provides additional lesson materials, and timely feedback to parents. Experience with special needs. Highly recommended.

My son has had 2sessions and we are really pleased. Debra seems very experienced and is really competent at teaching dyslexic children. She is really challenging my son. She has been able to find the gaps in his knowledge and is targeting them to strengthen his performance. We would definitely recommend from what I have seen so far.

Debra has been helping our son learn and practice his English and Verbal Reasoning, in preparation for forthcoming entrance exams at both Grammar and Independent Schools nearby. We have nothing but praise for her work with our son. First and foremost is her approachable interpersonal style, which meant that our son has looked forward to each weekly lesson, and never once has he grumbled about 'weekend lessons'.
We are now 6 months in to our lessons with Debra, and I'm so pleased that we found a tutor who we think is ideal for our son, and through the weekly post lesson feedback keep us well informed of our son's progress and areas for further development.
All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend Debra as a tutor for your child if they are looking to sit Y7 entrance exams. Whatever the outcome of the exams for our son, I would not wish for any other tutor.

Debra was highly professional, very structured, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We were not able to work with her long term because of a scheduling conflict, but I would certainly ask to work with her again.

Warm, friendly and engaging from the start. Managed to get my son, who was reluctant to have ‘extra’ work, onboard from the get-go. Patient and positive in all aspects and able to keep a chatty child on-task with humour and kindness. We are focusing on 11+ for our son and although he has just started with Debra the benefits are already evident, with more thoughtfulness in his approach to a variety of tasks.

My son has only had a couple of lessons so far with Debra but everything seems to be going very well.
He seems to enjoy the lessons and Debra is a very lovely patient woman.

We came to Debra after our daughter, who is really dyslexic, started to struggle with her English on the run up to this years GCSE's. Debra has been hugely beneficial to us and has given our daughter the confidence and tools to help her with English PPE's and preparation for the exams. Debra's kindness, patience and knowledge has helped Lemonie to understand the best ways of working with her dyslexia. Debra is a wonderful tutor who was a great help to our daughter who has dyslexia, she understood her needs from the start so no time was wasted.
I would strongly recommend her for all students especially those with SEN. We have tried tutors previously who were qualified to teach SEN students but none as good as Debra.

My son has only just started English in preparation for GSSEs with Debra but I can see that he feels happy and far more confident; more importantly, he’s making good progress even after just two sessions. Debra is excellent in her approach, professional and very well organised. My son looks forward to continuing being tutored by Debra.

Debra helped our daughter towards the end of her A level prep in History and Politics. She was patient, positive, reliable, flexible, and definitely produced results in the form of improved work and understanding. She was excellent in communication and keeping us informed of progress. My son was struggling with English and not expected to pass his GCSEs. Within a few weeks Debra had turned his performance around and he passed both language and literature this summer. More importantly he loved Debra’s style of teaching and learnt a lot from the sessions.

Debra has recently tutored my dyslexic son for his GCSE English Language resit. She helped him to view the subject and his approach to it in a much needed new way.
Working with his difficulties, she created visual displays just for Sam and gave great feedback on homework set.

Debra has been coaching our grandson since last September in preparation for his 11+/Selective Eligibility Test for Sutton Grammar Schools. Our grandson really enjoys his lessons and has an excellent relationship with Debra. Under his guidance he has come on impressively since he started and he looks forward each week to his lesson.

Debra is a warm, patient and professional tutor and my daughter seems to enjoy attending her lessons each week! She has a wealth of experience and knowledge and researched the school we were interested in before we started attending her lessons. My son who has high functioning autism struggles with his English lessons at school, we wanted to build his confidence and attainment in this subject so decided to find a tutor who was experienced in tutoring SEN children.
