I am an experienced English teacher of both Language and Literature with excellent results in Y11. I am currently in a management role within my school department and lead Literacy whole school. I am also a mom of two children, both with ASD, so have a good understanding of barriers to learning for SEND and disadvantaged students.

Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years experience teaching English Language and Literature to a wide range of students from SEND, disadvantaged and high prior attainers. I am responsible for whole school literacy, overseeing KS3 English and am a GCSE exam marker for exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is tailored to individuals and dependent upon their needs. I am able to adapt teaching to support learners who struggle with elements of English but can also stretch and challenge those aiming for the higher grades at GCSE.
