Hi, my name is Duncan Brown. I am a passionate Francophile and have lived / worked in France for many years.
I had the great opportunity to study in France as part of my degree and that ignited a love for France and the French language.
I am bi-lingual and would love the opportunity to share some of that with others.
I have 4 children who I have taught French at home.
I have been speaking French on a daily basis for over 20 years as part of my job.
Whilst I don't have a formal qualification, I believe my passion for the language is the key to connecting with students so they too can enjoy the learning process.
The key to learning a language is to enjoy it, relax and not worry about making mistakes. We all make mistakes even in our mother tongue!
I'll use a varied approach to mix up speech, listening and writing to make it as enjoyable as possible. I'll try to get away from the formal classroom approach, with an emphasis on real world situations.
If you are just looking for an informal lesson to practice talking French, then I'm also very open to that - That's how I learned my French.
