Hi! I'm currently completing an MRes in Pharmaceutical Research, building on a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology. I tutor Biology at GCSE and A-Level, as well as Bachelors level Pharmacology.
I have a strong academic foundation across biology and the life sciences, with A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and PE, and an A in GCSE Biology. My experience gives me a clear understanding of what examiners are looking for — and how to explain complex concepts in a way that actually sticks.
Whether you're looking to boost your grades, prep for exams, or deepen your understanding of tricky topics, I'm here to help. I tailor every session to the student, making sure it's focused, clear, and genuinely helpful.
Throughout my studies, I’ve naturally found myself in teaching roles — guiding peers through unfamiliar material and helping them succeed:
I've supported fellow students during lab-based research projects, particularly with experimental design, pharmacological reasoning, and hands-on techniques.
During my A-levels, I regularly helped friends revise for Biology and Chemistry, developing a patient, concept-focused teaching style that stuck with me.
These experiences taught me how to explain science in a relatable, non-intimidating way — and that no question is ever too small to ask
My approach is structured, flexible, and always tailored to the individual.
Before we begin sessions, I’ll ask for the student’s current syllabus and run a short consultation — a mix of conversation and a diagnostic test — to get a sense of where they’re at, what they’re struggling with, and how they prefer to learn. Some students thrive with diagrams and discussion, while others prefer structured walkthroughs, practice questions, or recap summaries.
From there, I build a plan tailored to their learning style, goals, and timeframe. Each session is focused, adaptable, and designed to build both confidence and deep understanding — not just memorisation. I also prioritise consistent feedback and open communication so the student always feels supported and in control of their progress.
