I am a qualified PE teacher with experience in different exam boards alongside also teaching Maths and Science up to GCSE level. I have a range of coaching qualifications, including football, cricket and hockey and aim to include a practical side to all my lessons to keep students engaged.
I have taught PE in multiple schools with different exam bodies, including AQA, OCR and Pearson. I have taught BTEC, GCSE and A Level. I have also taught Maths and Science up to GCSE level in different schools. I currently work in an alternative provision delivering Sport and Maths to students with SEND, meaning that I have to take different approaches to teaching, including practical in the majority of lessons. I have taken part in coaching a range of sports, both in and out of school, including hockey, football and cricket.
I approach a lesson in a way that I would like to be taught. This means that I try to include practical elements to each lesson, no matter the subject, in order to keep students engaged. I feel that there should be a student led approach to lessons, allowing there to be more time spent on the areas that they enjoy and incorporating these into areas where they might struggle.
