Edward is an exceptional tutor, highly competent, combining excellent subject knowledge, experience and a confidence building teaching style.  

I contacted Ed to tutor my son for A Level Biology, and it was immediately obvious after the first session that Ed is determined to bring out the very best in his students. Rather than simply lead the sessions, Ed interacts and engages, and sees things from the student’s perspective. Based on my son's feedback, Ed makes the student feel at ease but at the same time pushes them to achieve.

An extra bonus is Eds experience with medical degree applications. Ed was able to advise, feedback and discuss my sons’ personal statement and run mock university interviews which have helped my son enormously. This is one of the reasons that Ed stands out.

Ed does not simply organise his teaching sessions around the student’s material, but also supplies his own material and ensures that the combination cover the syllabus.

Both my son and I would not hesitate in recommending Ed to any other student, regardless of their aptitude. Not only has he filled my son with confidence for his Biology exams, but Eds enthusiasm and positivity has led to a marked improvement on my son’s outlook for his other subjects as well. My son now feels far more confident going forward into his exams.

Thanks to Ed and the excellent work he is doing, Matthew is now making outstanding progress. At the beginning of the academic year he was struggling to keep up with the demands of the A level Biology curriculum and was achieving quite poor test results. In his recent mock exam ( Jan 20) he achieved an A grade, which we are absolutely thrilled about. I cannot recommend Ed highly enough, he is totally reliable and has a really great manner with Matthew.
