Hello! My name is Ned (he/him), and I have recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a master's degree in Early Modern History. I previously received a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Cambridge. I am 24 years old, and am tutoring to gain experience whilst applying for a PhD and to share my enthusiasm for history with other people. I specialise in seventeenth-century British disability and gender history, but can readily handle any subject in the curriculum.
My graduation ceremony is not until March of next year, so I do not yet have my formal degree certificate from Oxford, but can supply a transcript if desired.
This is my first experience of tutoring, but both my parents are teachers and I have always enjoyed helping other people academically in an informal setting. I am deeply passionate about my subject, and have extensive experience researching and writing according to exam board regulations.
I am very friendly and approachable, and will gladly adapt my approach according to the needs or preferences of the person I am tutoring. I will provide resources when necessary, assign and mark homework if desired, and try my utmost to make the experience as enjoyable and interesting as possible.
