The best way to describe myself as a tutor is engaging. I have a natural knack for connecting with people, gaining trust and developing an individual's passion for the subject. I take an energetic, positive and equally analytical approach to teaching that makes pupils excited about learning and feeling very positively engaged with the topic.
I have near 10 years' experience in private tutoring music across numerous instruments (with best in class in piano & acoustic guitar) and through a plethora of genres (classical, jazz, rock, easylistening etc.). I also previously taught full classes at Darrick Wood Secondary School, Bromley - working particularly with SEN pupils aged 11-15 years.
I take a very individualised approach to tutoring - I have a very good level of emotional intelligence and so one of my best skills is in quickly building rapport and understanding every individual's push & pull factors, key drivers and what motivates them. Dependent on the pupil, the teaching styles I can utilise are anywhere from a highly strict & regimented classical teaching process or follow a more flexible & fluid passion-based approach.
