I am a very calm, friendly, positive person with passion to support students with additional needs. Ensuring they have an enjoyable, fun and fruitful educational experience by supporting them to achieve their individual goals.

Tutoring Experience

I am a very experienced SEN Teacher with over 25 years experience. Having worked for the last 20 years full time in mainstream secondary school; teaching
students on the Autism Spectrum with additional learning needs...dyslexia, speech and language communication
needs, and more complex needs.

I deliver Speech and Language sessions as directed by the NHS Speech and Language Therapist, Sensory/OT sessions as outlined by Occupational Therapist, Social Skills, Block (Lego) Therapy, Study Support and BTEC Home Cooking Skills to year groups 7-13. I also have experience teaching post 16 and adults in further education. Delivering functional skills in English to SEN/Mainstream and EAL students.
My experience extends to teaching students with neuro diverse needs in secondary school and Adult Education. Delivering a bespoke programme of learning to meet individual needs to ensure that every student progresses at their own pace gaining confidence with a 'can do' attitude to learning to meet their individual goals.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is very simple...I ensure that I deliver a programme of learning to meet individual students needs to enable students to reach their full potential and educational goals in a fun and supportive way.
