Hi, I am a part time primary school teacher at an outstanding school in Trafford. I have been teaching for 10 years and have experience of both KS1 and KS2. I am very passionate about ensuring my teaching motivates and inspires children to reach their potential. It is imperative to me that I cater to my tutee’s individual needs. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the steps of success a child takes particularly when working 1:1 with them. I can offer sessions in the evenings and weekends and I am based in Sale. I can also support during school holidays.
I have been teaching for 10 years and have experience in both KS1 and KS2. I have taught all different abilities including children with SEND. I have a passion for supporting children with dyslexia and have led the Dyslexia Friendly School Award within the school I work at. I feel dyslexia friendly approaches to teaching and learning support all children and therefore try to ensure my sessions are multi sensory and engaging.
I believe that every moment during a session should be maximised to ensure that the child gains the knowledge and understanding needed to enable them to progress. I tailor my 1:1 tutor sessions to each individual child. I will always ensure I do a baseline assessment to check where a child may require extra support, I will then plan sessions appropriately.
My teaching practice consists of a range of approaches to suit the individuals needs. I ensure I build a rapport with my tutee to ensure they feel comfortable to learn and thrive. I am kind and caring and really work on boosting children’s self esteem through positive reinforcement and praise and encouragement.
