Originally from Manchester, I've built a career blending science, retail, and community involvement. Starting with A-levels in Applied Science and Psychology, I pursued further education in Biomedical Science at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I've gained six years of retail experience, progressing from a basic role to a leadership position. I've also been recognized for community service with an NCS award signed by a former Prime Minister. Fluent in languages Farsi and English, I bring diverse experiences and perspectives to any team. After graduating my career experience includes working in haematology and histopathology medical labs. Alongside, I have experience as a lab demonstrator in University of Salford, advising both undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout variable modules in labs.
With a comprehensive background spanning various laboratory departments, including haematology, paediatric histology, and COVID-19 testing, I bring a big load of experience to the field of biomedical science. From processing blood products and analysing tissue samples to conducting COVID-19 testing, my expertise encompasses a wide range of laboratory techniques and protocols. Additionally, my role as a Laboratory Demonstrator underscores my commitment to education, where I assist students in understanding laboratory procedures and safety protocols while facilitating hands-on learning experiences. With both a degree and a master's in biomedical science, I am equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the advancement of healthcare through accurate diagnosis, research, and education.
As an at-home tutor with a background in biomedical science and extensive laboratory experience, my teaching approach is tailored to provide personalised and engaging learning experiences for my students. I believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring concepts at their own pace. At first I will get to know my student and their studying techniques to come up with an effective studying strategy. Then I will identify which area the student requires support with and using problem-based learning activities, I will ensure my students learn to their best of abilities to be able to complete their given tasks. I encourage open communication and regular feedback to ensure students are progressing and addressing any challenges they may encounter. Through this approach, I strive to empower my students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in their studies.
