I am a qualified secondary school teacher with extensive experience of language teaching. I have a degree in Spanish and History of Art, a post graduate teaching qualification and a Masters in translation. I am also a qualified TEFL teacher.
I have worked with students with a variety of levels and needs, and I am passionate about languages and about helping to build my students’ confidence in their communication skills with a positive and rigorous approach to language teaching.
I am a qualified teacher with 5 years experience teaching languages in secondary education, including preparing pupils for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher examinations. I have over three years experience teaching English as a foreign language in Spain, working with students (adults and children) with a variety of levels both one-on-one and in schools. This included preparing students for official exams (Cambridge exams A2-C1, IELTS).
I am committed to creating a tailored approach for each student depending on their level, needs and interests. I always discuss this plan with the student, making sure they feel in control of their learning. I always try to make lessons engaging and fun, and have a warm and positive approach towards education, where the focus is on building confidence and self-sufficiency.
