My name is Beth and I have always regarded teaching as a vocation rather than merely a job. I feel it is a privilege to enable students to regain their self esteem and attain their true potential.
Wide experience in teaching English, both Language and Literature, and working with dyslexic students has given me much pleasure. I have taught secondary students from Years 7 to 13 ; dealing with a number of Exam Boards. I headed a Learning Support Department for 12 years and have also tutored dyslexic undergraduates.
I have worked as a tutor for the last ten years and feel it is imperative to deliver lessons on an individual
basis ; working with students to allow them to make the most of their ability. I endeavour to make learning a positive experience and intersperse concentrated work with stimulating activities. Relating to young people is one of my strengths and lessons are fun.
