Hi, I'm a qualified physicist working in Nuclear Medicine at the Churchill Hospital, and I’ve loved maths for as long as I can remember. Throughout my childhood I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by people with a passion for maths which sparked my fascination at an early age. But I know that not everyone feels the same way — for many, maths can feel confusing and overwhelming.
With a degree in Maths and Physics from the University of Warwick, and a Master’s in Medical Physics from King’s College London, I’ve built a strong foundation in the subject — but more importantly, I’ve learned how to explain complex ideas in a clear, simple, and patient way.
Whether you’re trying to build confidence with the basics or need help grasping trickier concepts, I offer supportive, personalised tutoring that makes maths less daunting and more doable.
Sessions are available online or from my home. More tutoring slots will be opening up from September, so get in touch now to discuss availability and how I can help you (or your child) feel more confident with maths.
I have seven years experience of tutoring students and during this time I have received feedback that I have helped students to not only understand maths better, but enjoy it more! I have tutored students of all ages, ranging from 7 to 28, including young students to ensure they have a good understanding of key concepts from a young age, through to GCSE exams, and up to adult learners, focusing on teaching core concepts required for Foundational Adult Maths examinations.
Taking exams and learning new course content can be daunting at first, however I aim to make this process a little easier by simplifying problems and ensuring you understand the core reasoning and have the basic knowledge for each topic. This will make learning new topics easier and less frustrating. I focus my lessons on explaining the principles behind a new method or topic and then practice, practice, practice! My approach is patient, clear, and tailored to each student’s learning style, since every student learns differently, aiming to build both understanding and confidence. Please get in touch to discuss availability or to arrange an initial session. I would love to discuss how I can help you or your child with your maths learning!
