Ellie

I’m a 28 year old Physics and Maths teacher with over six years of experience in teaching and tutoring. I graduated from Durham University with a BSc (Hons) in Physics in 2017 and a PGCE in Secondary Science (specialising in Physics with Maths) in 2018.

Teaching is my passion. The success I experienced in school and university was largely due to the incredible teachers who inspired me, and this drives my commitment to supporting all of my students, regardless of their abilities. I’ve been told that my teaching style is both enjoyable and accessible, making learning a positive experience for my students.

Tutoring Experience

I taught Physics at Wimbledon High School and at Haileybury College, and I am now tutoring Physics and Maths full time after relocating.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to create a relaxed, friendly environment that encourages effective learning, allowing me to fully support each student as they work through challenges. My student-led approach means I tailor my teaching to their individual needs, helping them build confidence and a deeper understanding of the subject. I regularly ask questions to ensure comprehension and often end sessions with an exam question to reinforce their learning. My goal is to empower students to become independent learners while making the process enjoyable and accessible.
