I have recently finished my A levels and I am starting my undergraduate study in Law at Liverpool University. I have always had a keen interest in English and a desire to not only teach the foundations but equip students with an in depth understanding and enjoyment of English.
Whilst being a Principal student in my high school I took on a role of mentorship, taking part in many extracurricular clubs helping younger years with oracy skills such as debating and creative writing. In addition to this, for the last 4 years I have been a teaching assistant in a local dance school teaching from the ages of 3-18. This has given me the skills to adapt my teaching style depending on age and personality.
I aim to adopt an enjoyable setting for students to feel comfortable and proud within themselves and their own work. I seek to encourage a positive environment keeping students achievements relative on a person by person basis. I strive to make my lessons flexible and accessible for all types of learners utilising varying teaching methods such as demonstration, cooperative, inquiry and game based learning.
