Hi, I am currently on a gap year after completing my A-levels, so I have plenty of time to commit to delivering as many lessons as you need! I have always excelled in mathematics academically, and along the way I have supported many of my peers to achieve the grades they desire. I am looking to study economics at a top university next year, as this a subject I am passionate about.
I have a year of tutoring experience in all levels of mathematics, up to GCSE. I also have 3 years of coaching a football team from ages 9-12. This has developed my leadership and organisation skills. I have also had several tutors myself, so I know what to look out for to make a lesson productive.
My experiences have taught me that no two students are alike, and everyone has their own way of learning, so my lessons will be dynamic to meet each student's needs. My teaching methodology is to first lay the foundational understanding of the subject, through explanations and memorisation techniques such as flashcards. Then I believe it is best to dive into past papers as soon as possible, as learning how to answer the exam questions is just as important as the knowledge. This may vary between students, if I feel it would be more effective to teach them in another way.
