I am a University of Liverpool graduate, currently studying postgraduate Veterinary Medicine. I achieved first class honours in my Bioveterinary Science degree, and have a real passion for biology and animal science. It has always been my dream to become a vet, and this could not have been realised without confident and supportive teaching, which is what I aim to provide as an online tutor.
My previous teaching experience has been varied. The majority has been hands on, teaching rock climbing lessons to children and adults of all ages. In addition to this, I spent a lot of time assisting with science lessons in lower school whilst in sixth form.
I believe that it can be extremely useful to contextualise concepts, especially within science which can often be a confusing subject. I understand that everybody has different strengths which can be used to their advantage (for example artistic students using images to reinforce learning). My experience working with all ages and walks of life has helped me to understand these different approaches to learning and I am able to adapt to a pupil's learning styles and abilities. At A level I feel it is particularly important to focus on exam technique and past papers, in order to achieve the highest possible grades.
