I'm a fourth year medical student at the University of Cambridge, with a degree in genetics (2:1). Despite my A levels being tainted by the COVID pandemic, I left school with A*s in my EPQ, Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish A levels with an A in Maths. I also managed to achieve a straight run of 9s in the first year of the new GCSE system, with an A** in Further Maths and an A in Statistics - so I'm equipped with all the insider knowledge you need to strive for these top grades. Together we'll come up with an aim for your final grade, and how I can support you in working towards this.
It has been a few years since I sat these exams but I have been tutoring younger neighbours and friends' siblings in these subjects so I have kept my knowledge up-to-date. I'm more than happy to offer GCSE tutoring in Maths, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language and A level Biology.
Additionally, I am happy to provide mentoring and advice throughout the university application process, with an emphasis on Oxbridge and medicine applications (naturally).
In terms of GCSE and A level tutoring, we'll have a short trial session together where we work out your target grades, and discuss your strengths and weaknesses in order to devise a tailored revision plan. Of course, this will remain flexible and in-line with schoolwork and your own revision needs.
In terms of university applications, we'll run through the common areas where people trip up, and work through ways we can avoid these mistakes. With personal experience leading interviews, I'll guide you through some of the most commonly asked questions in interviews and we'll brainstorm individual answers so you're as prepared as possible.
