I am a passionate and enthusiastic person in life and have a range of hobbies. I extend empathy and kindness to others as well as possessing a strong desire to communicate my knowledge and passion to others.
I have 2 dogs and enjoy growing flowers and vegetables.
I began teaching outdoors after university in 2015. I have worked and trained with the Field Studies council, delivering Geography and Biology fieldwork lessons. I freelance with my own farm education work with schools. And I am currently a Teaching Assistant in schools across the Barnsley and Doncaster catchment. I have a good awareness of and basic training in Mental Health and am currently studying a Level 3 Counseling and Psychotherapy course.
My teaching approach is extremely personable, I prefer to teach in person as opposed to online. I am a visual learner and tend to teach in quite a visual manner, using lots of aids, colorful diagrams and where appropriate using acting with the student/s to help them remember certain subjects e.g. physical erosion processes in geography. I take my time, ensuring every student understands before moving on and then ensure I pick up any help students falling behind may need. I tailor the learning according to the students.
