Hi I'm Emily and I have a degree from Anglia Ruskin University in BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science. I have a real passion for science and maths, and would love to be able to pass that on to any student I teach. Yes...I agree both subjects can be a bore and be difficult...BUT...once you understand it, it can actually be really interesting and fun!
Aside from my teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my springer spaniel, finding new places to explore - she is a particularly keen swimmer so anywhere with water is a bonus! I also love experimenting with interior design and enjoy upcycling old furniture into new, unique pieces.
I have 6 years teaching experience of secondary school, teaching Year 7 to Year 11. I have had experience of teaching GCSE maths and science classes and am well aware of the schemes of work and success criteria for both subjects. I have also tutored for over 5 years in both subjects and have acheived success and improvement with all my students.
A modern approach to teaching with a strong focus on becoming confident with a topic and then questions, questions, questions. Practice makes perfect!
