I am a Qualified Maths teacher with 15 years of Classroom experience across KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I have always loved maths and I love teaching it. Having recently left the classroom for health reasons I am turning my attention to tutoring to support students in improving both their confidence and grades. I completed my degree in Maths and Education and then went onto to do my PGCE and Masters to understand how to teach more thoroughly.
I have 15 years of teaching experience in Secondary Schools across all age ranges and abilities. I have taught two different GCSE exam boards and have also taught at A Level so I have a deep understanding of the curriculum. I am also an Examiner at A Level for a major exam board.
I have extensive experience in working with and caring for children with various SEN including Autism, ADHD and PDA.
I am kind, patient and experienced and able to tailor my teaching style to the student I am working with. I like to ensure that my lessons have a clear focus and I plan them to ensure that the student can make maximum progress through opportunities for examples, practice and testing.
I specialise in teaching students working at GCSE Higher but please do contact me if you want year 12 tuition or tuition for GCSE Foundation (I am currently unable to offer year 13 tuition). Please note that my rate is for my time and experience, face to face tuition will incur an extra cost to cover travel costs.
