Achieving a 2:1 from Southampton University in Spanish, Emily is highly proficient in the use of the language. After spending a year in Argentina, Emily carries a genuine passion to enable people to learn the Spanish language to the highest level in a fun, interactive way whether they are preparing for upcoming exams (GCSE's etc) or learning for sheer pleasure.

Like languages, music forms a key part of my lifestyle. Achieving Grade 8 clarinet by the age of 13, then onto a Diploma from Trinity School of Music and latterly playing in the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain demonstrates the utter passion I have for music.

Tutoring Experience

In terms of Spanish, Teaching of English as a Foreign Language to both primary, secondary and university levels has been the primary tutoring focus within the last few years, however I have also had other previous experience in tutoring Spanish to a variety of ages.

In terms of Music tuition, I have tutored both new and more established musicians, covering a wide variety of repertoire. Both clarinet and piano lessons can be offered.

Tutoring Approach

For Spanish, online tutoring with effective use of interactive learning tools is preferable, however home tutoring (depending on location) is also possible. All four key skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) will be individually focussed on within lessons, unless tutees request otherwise.

For Clarinet or piano lessons, tutees can be prepared for ABRSM exams (or just enjoy playing) in an engaging, encouraging environment where they not only achieve great results but more importantly can enjoy playing their musical instrument.
