I’m currently a PhD student in Statistics. I hold a First Class BSc in Maths and Statistics, so I have a lot of problem-solving experience and a strong foundation in various areas of maths. At A-Level, I achieved A*/As in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology.
I’ve worked with a variety of coding languages and tools including Python, R, C++, Git, SQL, and JavaScript.
For the past 4 years, I’ve been a Graduate Teaching Assistant, helping to deliver university tutorial classes. I previously worked as a Data Scientist and was a Quantitative Finance intern.
Having struggled with maths when I was younger, I understand the importance of patient and approachable teaching. The best teachers I had were those who explained concepts in different ways until they clicked, and I aim to be that kind of tutor. I want my students to feel comfortable asking any question—there’s no such thing as a stupid one if it helps your understanding!
With 4 years of experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I understand how to break down complex topics and make them easier to understand.
