I am an approachable, friendly, enthusiastic tutor with a passion for English. I have given many one-to-one sessions both at schools and as a private tutor for children from KS2 through to A Level.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in schools in both the state and private sectors and have experience teaching across the age range including KS3, GCSE and A Level Literature and Language. I have been Second in Department and Lead Teacher for A Level English Language – my specialist subject. I am also an examiner for both GCSE English and A Level English Language.

Tutoring Approach

My aim is to boost a child's confidence by working on their areas of weakness in English, including both reading and writing. My tutoring sessions are tailored to each child's individual needs to ensure progression and a deeper understanding of concepts related to English. I can also focus my sessions on exam tips and advice from my position as an examiner.
