I live near Sherborne in Dorset and teach Maths up to GCSE Level. I am very familiar with the Maths syllabus and exam style as well as with Functional Skills, Maths at Levels 1 and 2.
I can offer support with specific topics and general confidence building as well as exam practice.
I have 3 children of my own (now all over 20) and have able to help them all with their Maths and other subjects where Maths is an important component of the syllabus, for example the Sciences and Economics/Business, so I understand and empathise with the concerns parents have about their children's education.
I have online and in-person teaching experience and have taught Maths at local secondary and senior schools to Common Entrance (13+), GCSE, iGCSE (Foundation and Higher levels) and Functional Skills Levels 1 and 2.
From my contacts at local schools and youth centres I have regular access to up-to-date information regarding Exam Board and syllabus changes as well as other support which is available to young people in the area.
I try various different approaches to engage students in their learning to make it fun and interesting and I work on building self-confidence. I look forward to helping your child to move forward with their Maths.
