Enyioma

My name is Enyioma and I’m an experienced mathematics tutor. I enjoy teaching children and I have ways of making my sessions interesting. For instance, if I ask someone to solve a Math problem, I normally discuss how that problem is encountered in everyday life. I also make sure that there’s collaboration among students if they get stuck on specific problems.

Tutoring Experience

I started my tutoring journey on October 2024, when I volunteered as a Math tutor for Action tutoring. This involved teaching year 10 to 11 students both in-person and online every week. I then got hired by Fine Tutors on February 2025 where I taught Maths to year 1 to 8 students. This was always done in-person in a classroom setting.

Tutoring Approach

There are times when I start the session with warm-up questions just to gauge how efficient students are at solving math problems. These are basic math questions that stem from different topics. When I teach a specific topic, I explain the topic visually with pen and paper. I then demonstrate how to solve a question based on that topic. Finally, I ask the students to solve similar questions the way that I did.
