I am an experienced tutor with a strong background in maths, science, and accounting. With top A-Level grades in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics, I studied at Kings College, Cambridge, followed by postgraduate qualifications in accounting and finance. My tutoring experience spans secondary school to university level, including teaching at the University of Cape Town, where I supported students in audit, accounting and business analysis.

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant, but have recently decided to return to my first love, tutoring, with the goal of offering professional, affordable online lessons. To support this, I'm currently pursuing a Professional Diploma in Digital Learning Design, which will enable me to use the most up-to-date tools and methodologies to create engaging digital learning experiences.

Tutoring Experience

have a diverse background in teaching and tutoring, from secondary education to university-level instruction. I spent several years tutoring maths and science at secondary level, helping students excel in their GCSEs and A-Levels, often transforming underperforming students into top achievers. Additionally, my time at the University of Cape Town as an Assistant Lecturer gave me a deeper understanding of academic instruction. I taught corporate governance and business analysis, while also contributing to exam setting, marking, and developing detailed rubrics to ensure clarity and fairness in grading.

In my professional career as a Chartered Accountant, I’ve worked with some of the world’s most renowned companies, including adidas, Spotify, and IKEA. This practical experience, combined with my academic background, allows me to offer unique insights into both theoretical knowledge and its application in real-world scenarios. My role in learning and development within the professional services sector has also allowed me to refine my skills in delivering training, coaching, and tutoring remotely, utilizing platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Currently, I’m enhancing my skills further by studying a Professional Diploma in Digital Learning Design. This course equips me with the tools to develop engaging online learning materials, incorporate dynamic resources, and tailor my teaching methods to suit different types of learners.
