I grew up in Hungary and speak native level Hungarian. So I'm able to teach your child Hungarian or in Hungarian if needed.
I love playing the violin, walking, meditating, cycling, and painting.
I have been tutoring since 1997 and have also taught in government schools and in a private school and sixth for college.
I believe that with very few exceptions all children can do well in and enjoy maths. The many reasons they don't do well in a class room setting range from nerves to believing they can't. Once they see for themselves that they can, their learning will take off and they will progress rapidly. My job consists largely of instilling confidence and awakening curiosity.
I know kids are confident when they are no longer worried about making mistakes, they are willing to challenge themselves and me. When finding out the truth is more important than looking good.
I base lessons on the needs of each individual student, and prefer to bring the knowledge out of a child rather than lecturing them. Let them discover things for themselves, with a bit of guidance. This lets them love what they are doing.
