I am a very enthusuastic and passionate Mathematician and teacher.
I have been married for 14 years and we have two beautiful daughters.
I have a good rapport with my students and am extremely patient. I don't think i could be a maths teacher if i was not!
I am a secondary school maths teacher, teaching 11-18 year olds.
I have been teaching for over 16 years and tutoring for over 20 years to students of varying ability and age. I am available for KS3, KS4 (IGCSE, GCSE Maths and GCSE Statistics, and Add Maths, and Functionsl Maths, any exam board) and KS5 (specifically A Level pure maths, plus AQA Core Maths in Context.)
All students I have tutored for foundation maths have passed with a grade 5, including those who started with me at the end of Year 10 with a grade 1.
I am experienced with children who have autism and dyslexia through my own children and my teaching.
I tutor because I love Mathematics and I love helping people understand these difficult concept. I like the one-to-one work as we can experience the struggles and delights together, and it is always a delight on results day to hear their great achievements, especially knowing how much effort and energy they have put into getting their goal.
I hope to bring my enthusiasm and passion for mathematics to the tutoring sessions and hope to raise the pupils' confidence in their maths and in their ability.
I aim to tailor the teaching style of the tutoring towards the students best needs. If a student is struggling with a topic, I will often search for good resources to aid their understanding in preparation for the next lesson.
Every student is different and each student has their own goal. I will ensure that the student reaches their full potential.
I charge an extra £5 if I travel to you.
