Evelyn's Feedback

Evelyn has worked with my home schooled daughter, G, for the last 16 months, towards her GCSE Maths exams. She was very patient and quickly gained G’s trust. She helped to grow her confidence over time in what was her least favourite subject! Evelyn is always very honest with feedback, and realistic about expected outcomes. She works methodically and creatively to suit individual needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with Evelyn again - but hopefully G’s grade will be good and we won’t have to!

For the past 3 months Evelyn has been tutoring our 18 year old daughter who has Autism and Dyslexia. Our daughter is trying to pass her GCSE maths for the third time.

Our daughter has always found it difficult to engage in any maths work, she finds it boring and an uneccesary qualification and is only doing it because she needs to.

Since Evelyn has started working with her she has gained in confidence and enthusiasm and has done everything asked of her in between sessions with a smile on her face… which is a miracle!!! She said that she feels she has learnt more with Evelyn than she ever did in her previous classes at school and college and felt very comfortable with her.

We don't know her results yet but she's feeling like she's done ok.

We would definitely recommend Evelyn to anyone needing maths tutoring.

It would be accurate to describe Evelyn as completely customer focussed but that doesn't do justice to her pastoral sensitive approach to finding what works for the student and family. Our daughter has taken to Evelyn's teaching style quickly feeling listening to and appreciating her patience. All admin (appointments, punctuality, payments etc.) has been without issue. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Evelyn has been coming to help my daughter with maths for the last few weeks and has been great. My daughters confidence is growing week by week.

Excellent - very flexible in ways of working during the pandemic, using Zoom where needed. Helped a lot with confidence building, always provided good feedback for parents, and gave optional extra practice tasks by email, as well as having excellent knowledge of current assessment criteria.
