I believe all children need love, encouragement, and support, and for a individual with learning disabilities, such positive reinforcement can help ensure that they emerge with a strong sense of self-worth, confidence, and the determination to keep going even when things are tough.
I teach students of all abilities in the primary and secondary sector (KS1, KS2, KS3 leading to KS4) . I have a proven ability to teach, motivate and direct students to maximum performance by encouraging a challenging, positive and comfortable environment. This has been achieved through stimulating lessons and constructive feedback.
I have additionally supported Primary schools boost SATs results through one-to-one support and Small Group Tuition through Interventions that has assisted children raise their attainment levels as well as reach their full potential during their SATs.
I have experienced working with children with English as a Additional language and also children with no English and would therefore be happy to offer language support.
I have a passion for education and strongly believe that each child can achieve outstanding results with the right stimulus and support. I apply these techniques to all my students who are making fantastic progress in school and out of school. I always discuss the needs of my new pupils very carefully and aim to build their confidence in the subject. I find that practice in exam techniques invariably helps to rapidly improve grades.
I provide a focused and personalised tutoring service designed to cater for the student’s individual needs. I will achieve this through preparing and delivering sessions that target specific literacy and numeracy skills, focusing on areas that require improvement and using methods that suit the student’s preferred learning style. This will enable students to build both their confidence in the subject and further their progression.
