I am a 34 year old, living in Redditch with my husband and daughter and tutoring around being a full time mum to my toddler.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified primary teacher with 6 years classroom experience, in Key Stage Two, and a further 5 years experience working as a private tutor with children aged between 5 and 14, in their own homes, in a tuition centre setting and online.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is very much child-centred and child-led. I left the traditional classroom role because I knew it made it impossible to give the personalised and dedicated approach and time each student needed in a class of 30+. I can, however, do just this in a 1:1 setting.
I love created a rapport with a child, seeing their confidence build and tailoring each session specifically to their needs, strengths, interests and goals. I do not believe in training children in a high pressure environment, but in building their self-belief and working at their pace. I always try to make sure that the work we do together complements and enhances their in-school learning.
