I’m an experienced primary school teacher who has worked in various state schools across London and Cambridge for the last 8 years. I have primarily been a Year 6 teacher and have a plethora of experience in KS2 SATs and 11+ entrance exams.
I’ve had prior tutoring experience in KS2 reading, literacy and maths and have also helped several children with their 11+ entrance exams into grammar school.

Tutoring Approach

Every child learns differently and I endeavour to deliver engaging sessions to boost their progress and confidence. Tutoring, when delivered effectively and in a patient manner, is a powerful tool and could be imperative to a child’s self-confidence and ability. During my tutoring sessions, I often tap into the pupils’ interests and cater my lessons around it - I find that this boosts their concentration levels and when it comes to writing, their enthusiasm is increased ten fold! I use a combination of visual aids and hands-on objects to reduce any misconceptions or misunderstandings and also to cement the learning that has been completed.
