After attending a top grammar school, Upton Court Grammar, I attained A*A*A* in A-Level Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. I'm now an Astrophysics Undergraduate at King's College London, a world-renowned top Russell Group University. I am a new tutor, but I work with academies in Slough to teach GCSE and KS3 students in Maths and Sciences. I have just finished my final examinations and I'm available to tutor.
Note: I apologise for any delays in replies till date. I've just finished university and I'm available to take on clients.
I'm an experienced tutor, with 1 year professional experience within an established academy as well as 6 years privately. I've been tutoring my younger sister in her GCSE's- and she attained 9 GCSEs (all 7/A and above), as well as 4 A-Levels at Langley Grammar School, in Mathematics, Economics, History, and Computer Science. She now studies BSc Computer Science at UCL.
I had tutored GCSE and KS3 students at Think Smart Academy, Slough- in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
I tutored professionally at Aim Higher Tuition Services, Langley Grammar School, Slough- teaching GCSE and KS3 Mathematics only
I've privately tutored Year 11, KS3, and KS4 English, Maths, and Science
As someone who hasn't always achieved the best grades throughout my entire school life, and has risen to the top performers in top universities- I know it's possible for anyone to get A*s, provided they are given the right guidance and put in the effort.
I started from the bottom (grade 5s), and rose to grade 8s and 9s in GCSE just by using smart study techniques and efficient revision. It's important to have a teacher or mentor who you can ask for help on topics. GCSEs are the most important exams of your life- and I want to help every student I tutor get the best grades they can.
Additionally, for year-long students:
If you take lessons one-by-one, I tend to arrive at a plan for the student based off how they learn best, whether that's by covering a topic they're struggling with as the lesson comes, covering what they're doing in school that week, or needing help with homework/problems.
I conduct a standard trial period of 1 month where I closely assess the student and determine whether or not I can continue tutoring. It's rarely ever the case where I turn a student down, however, in the case of greater underperformance, I recommend parents/individuals to seek more advanced tutors or visit an academy.
I am conducting lessons online only.
