I am a professional, friendly and engaging qualified teacher with extensive experience working with students both one-to-one and in a classroom setting. Teaching KS3 English and GCSE English in both a classroom setting and with numerous private tutees, I have an extensive knowledge of the English curriculum, core exam boards and research-based pedagogy. Having graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a 1st class degree and recently starting an MA in English Literature at Kings College London, I have a strong academic background and critical understanding of English as an academic discipline.
As a lover of literature and language, I bring my enthusiasm and passion for the subject into my work with young people and am fully committed to the progress and well-being of each of my students.
For three years I have taught English Literature for Key Stages 3 and 4, including AQA English Language and English Literature to mixed attainment classes in London secondary schools. I have also tutored multiple students in English KS3 and GCSE courses.
I take a friendly and motivating approach in order for students to engage with and appreciate the subject in order to make progress.
