I was a Maths teacher for over 5 years in the UK and North America. I enjoy solving problems with my students and sharing all the tips and tricks I have picked up from teaching abroad. Now I'm a Project Manager and enjoy tutoring Maths during the evenings and weekends.
I have experience teaching Maths at all levels from 11-18years old including GCSE, IGCSE, IB MYP, A-Level, IB DP (Studies SL, Maths SL and Maths HL). I also spent some time with Mathematics Mastery, developing resources to challenge the top performing students at Key Stage 3 and 4. I also volunteer with the Access Project where I support and tutor disadvantaged students to get into top universities.
I believe in teaching the understanding and flexibility in the Singaporean method on the foundation of memorised basics. In an exam situation students will benefit greatly from knowing the basics so they can spend time being creative with the problem.
