I have recently taken early retirement from my job as a primary school teacher and have extensive experience of working with children, particularly in the early years and KS1. I am patient, reliable and creative person, with an active lifestyle. I feel fortunate to have had such a rewarding career and very much enjoy working with children and helping them to achieve their full potential.
I have 18 years of experience as a primary school teacher, with a variety of roles including early years and KS1 lead, mentor to teaching students and subject leader for art and design. I have a wealth of experience in teaching early reading, phonics, creative writing and maths. I have also worked as a teaching assistant, pre-school leader and childminder, and have three grown-up sons.
My aim is to provide supportive and creative tutoring sessions that builds confidence and encourages a love of learning. Lessons will be planned with your child's needs in mind, using a variety of materials to bring the subjects alive and ensure that sessions are fun and productive.
