A French native speaker, I have been teaching French for over 35 years in the English secondary school system. For the last 19 years I have been teaching in a leading independent school in North London, 10 years of which as Head of French, achieving excellent exam results. I currently teach GCSE, AS and A2 students part time.
I have many years of experience as a teacher-examiner for GCSE, AS and A2 public exams. I am a registered examiner with Edexcel and CIE examination boards, and am very familiar with examination requirements across all boards.
Beyond my extensive experience of teaching French in secondary schools, I have over the years tutored many students and adults from beginner to advanced levels. While a teacher at the Alliance Française, Nairobi, I designed and wrote teaching courses.
Personable and adaptable, I will tailor and adapt material according to each tutee's specific needs. Throughout my career, I have developed techniques to get the most out of each student and help them to achieve their goals. I have extensive experience of creating authentic material for both teaching and examination requirements.
