Gavin had started tutoring my daughter - 2 sessions in he has had to cancel due to person reasons. Just unfortunate when relationship was being built between them but these thing happen.

We are new to the system and we’re nervous.
However it all worked out and we have an excellent tutor so Thankyou very much. Trust creates peace of mind.

Gavin has been very punctual and has helped my son tremensously with his GCSE Chemistry exam preparation. My son had been been struggling with organic chemistry for a while and under Gavin's guidance, he feels more confident now. He focuses a lot on exam questions and this helps in developing techniques to approach exam questions and how to answer them. Overall, I am quite satisfied with Gavin's teaching methods and with his grasp of the subject.

Gavin was great. My son really benefitted from his interaction with Gavin. So much so that be got a commendation for a mind map he produced in class from his teacher when he returned after the holidays. Chemistry was his weaker subject so for that to happen was fantastic

Gavin has been excellent and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He has been tutoring my daughter for her A-Level Chemistry exam and has helped her significantly. He has a clear way of explaining things that she found difficult in school. She is enjoying her sessions with Gavin.

I have been having intensive lessons with Gavin throughout an 11-day period, and I decided I had found the right tutor upon our first lesson. He could communicate abstract ideas well. We work well together, and I feel his passion for chemistry, which is as strong as for teaching. He doesn't go on and on but he listens to me, tackling my confusion right where I have it. Gavin has been tutoring my daughter for GCSE Chemistry since the beginning of September. I have found him to be friendly and professional. He has provided me with a realistic overview of what my daughter needs to do in order to improve her Chemistry marks. Initially I had expected that she would need to have weekly sessions throughout the academic year to improve her understanding of the subject. However after the first tutorial Gavin told me that she would need three initial weekly sessions and following these fortnightly sessions would be sufficient, which, in my view, demonstrates honesty and integrity. My daughter's confidence in her ability to do Chemistry has increased. She now has a better understanding of the topics that she was unable to grasp last year and has told me that Gavin's explanations are clear and detailed. Gavin has also given advice on exam technique which she finds very useful.

Gavin is an amazing tutor! For the past couple of months he has been helping me with my AS level chemistry and I have enjoyed and benefitted from every session. Gavin is evidently passionate about the subject and very patient in explaining things. He has simplified complex concepts which has made some of my worst areas of chemistry my strong points. I have never felt that any question is silly and he encourages you to apply your knowledge and work through something you might not understand. My confidence has 100% grown over the course of these past months. I've found complete reliability and punctuality in Gavin and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Gavin has been an amazing tutor. He is so knowledgeable and patient and explains things in a way you understand them. He takes his time explaining and doesn’t get frustrated or annoyed when he has to explain it more than once (Because of the student, not him). He has given me so much confidence in myself and my chemistry capabilities that when my exam comes around, I really feel that I am going to pass. I have found him to be trustworthy and reliable. Gavin is an excellent tutor who has not just helped me to address my weaknesses in chemistry, but has made the learning process a lot more enjoyable! I myself have had trouble with exam technique, particularly with being concise about my answer, but Gavin has shown me how to be more efficient at answering each question which is extremely important for time management during the actual exam. Through working on my exam technique and filling in the gaps in my knowledge, my past paper practice marks really have improved. I couldn't recommend Gavin enough!

Gavin is very thorough, knowledgeable and approachable. He presents complex concepts in a way which is clear to understand in a patient, encouraging manner, and will make every effort to explain it in multiple ways to make sure I understand. After my first few lessons with him, I feel much more confident and now understand difficult concepts when I couldn’t before.
