Gayle

Gayle

A friendly, empathetic and relatable teacher who really cares about their learners. I have a great rapport with my existing learners.

I'm quite fun (if not biased) and when I am not teaching I love outdoor sports, high diving and mud runs galore!

Everyone has the potential to achieve, and everyone has their own way of reaching their goals.

I have a Master's degree in Education to support my passion in developing knowledge and understanding in teaching and educating our next generation. This has given me a wealth of knowledge and understanding in social sciences.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently working as a Teacher Trainer - delivering the PGCE to Post Graduate students in a University setting. Furthermore, I work as a Teaching and Learning Governor for a training academy.
Prior to this I had been delivering GCSE and FS English for 11 years.

I have also had teaching experience in Primary and Secondary and SEMH Specialist provision. Each role required assisting learners to overcome their barriers to learning.

I have also taught English as a Foreign Language.

Prior to teaching I worked with young people as a Mentor and a Student Ambassador.

Tutoring Approach

There is no one way to approach tutoring. My approaches to tutoring are as individual as the needs of my tutees. A full assessment of your learning needs will be completed, and a full diagnostic report will be drawn up prior to embarking on tuition.
Regardless of the style(s) of learning necessary there will be an emphasis on making tutoring sessions interesting, fun and creative - while ensuring all Assessment Objectives are adhered to. Personalised learning and strategic approaches to overcome existing barriers to learning are my area of strength which lends itself well to complementary tutoring along side the school programme.
