Hello!
My name is Georgia and I am a trained primary school teacher in Southampton. Since the age of 16 I have built up my background in education and worked with children from the age of 6 months through to the age of 17. I would describe myself as a happy, calm and confident individual as I regularly take on new challenges in both my work and personal life.
Since 16 I have built up my teaching experience by working in a range of different educational establishments. These include nurseries, primary schools, residential summer camps for teenagers and also private dance tuition. In 2017 I graduated from the University of Winchester with a 2:1 in BA Honours in Education Studies with a specialism in Early Childhood Development. I then followed that on by studying on the Wildern SCITT to achieve a PGCE and QTS status. By training through the SCITT course I was able to work 4 days a week for a year, in a year 3 class, where I built up my teaching practice. Since qualifying I have had seven years experience in teaching in both KS1 and KS2.
Now offering online tuition in order to continue to support and develop children’s learning and progress
As a teacher I have been noted to have extremely strong relationships with the children I teach and this is shown through the progression of my class within and out of the classroom. In my classroom I ensure I use all of the resources I have available and model practical methods to solving different problems, which supports the ideals of active learning. My teaching practice is underpinned through the fundamentals of fun and happiness as I believe education should be an ongoing journey, where the children are happy and enthused about progressing.
