Having previously worked as a scientist for 16 years, I now bring my experience to maths and science lessons to make the subject relevant to real world applications. I have a degree in Forensic Science, and volunteer with STEMNET (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Network) through my employer. I also volunteered as a 'Barn Owl' with the Brownies weekly, which is part of the worldwide girl guiding movement.
I charge £35 per hour for tuition. If students are more than a 30 minute drive away, there are extra costs to cover the travel time.
I also recruit tutors across Hertfordshire and the south of England, and would be happy to help you get started.
I volunteer with STEMNET to teach and promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to school children. This involves attending careers events and taking science lessons in local schools.
I have been tutoring since 2012, and have completed Qualified Tutor training in 2020.
I am happy to tailor tutoring to meet the students' needs. I believe that every child is different and takes in knowledge in a different way. That is one of the major benefits of one-on-one studying.
