Ghananshu

My name is Ghananshu Zalke, I currently am 19 and go to Loughborough University and study Electronic and Electrical Engineering and have just passed my first year. I did my A levels at Greenhead College and did Mathematics, Physics and PE and I did my GSCEs at Heckmondwike Grammar School. Doing all these subjects has inspired me to teach others and help them such as Mathematics which is a major element in my degree. I also play field hockey as one of my hobbies and play for the University currently but unfortunately at the start of the new season I tore my meniscus in my knee and have had knee surgery recently which is one of the reasons tutoring would be perfect for me right now. I have a strong passion to teach various subjects and especially maths and PE as they are two of my favorite subjects to learn in GSCE and A level and I am excited to share my knowledge to students aspiring to learn about them. My passion for mathematics began in secondary school when I realized how much I enjoyed solving complex problems and working together with my peers to understand challenging concepts. By playing a sport, PE was always something I enjoyed and it was very interesting to find out more about sport in general and learn about the things we don't see or experience that impact sport and physical education in the world.

Tutoring Experience

The tutoring experience I have are during year 13 I was assigned a student I could help in Mathematics who was in year 12 and was struggling with the subject. I helped him improve his grades, learn how to prepare for exams, and develop a deeper understanding of the material. I also help my brother who is in year 10 prepare for his GSCEs coming up which has helped me more to understand how to effectively teach a student. My studies have provided me with a deep understanding of Mathematics and PE and over the past number of years, I have excelled in both achieving high grades in both in A level and GSCE. I possess strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, have good patience and am very adaptable. I am skilled at breaking down complex concepts into manageable and understandable parts, ensuring that students can grasp the material fully.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that every student has the potential to excel with the right guidance and support. My approach to tutoring is student-centered, focusing on understanding each student’s unique learning style and adapting my teaching methods accordingly. I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts. I would focus on how the student revises and try improve their revision technique especially with Mathematics and PE as each subject has very different ways of effective revision. I then would target on the students weak points in each subject and together we would try and improve their understanding on that topic. But each student is different so by first understand the student then I can work out and adapt on how to teach this student.
