I am an experienced maths teacher and have succesfully tutored students on a one to one basis for many years. I no longer work full time as a maths teacher which gives me the time and flexibility to address the personal needs of my tutees. I love my subject and enjoy enabling students to gain confidence in maths and thereby achieve their full potential. As a maths examiner I am fully conversant with the requirements of the exam boards and what students need to do to maximise their marks.
I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with work experience in both the private and state sector. I have taught at Key Stages 2 and 3, GCSE, IGCSE, Further Maths and Functional Maths. Although most have my students have been of school age I am increasingly working with those in Further Education and adults who want to refresh/develop their own maths skills to be able to help their children or just for their own personal satisfaction.
My approach to tutoring is always defined by the needs of the individual. I prefer to start a tuition programme with an initial assessment therefore it is usually a 90 minute session (at same cost of 1 hour session). I am also able to provide tuition to small groups if required. I endeavour to make the learning relevant and make the connections between the maths topics using real life situations wherever possible.
