Hi! My name is Giorgia, I am a MPhil/PhD Student King's College London and I study Theology. I have a background at undergraduate and masters level in History, Literature, Politics, Theology and Sociology.
I specialise in GCSE and A-level, Religious Studies, History and English Literature and Language (13-18)
I have experience with OCR, EDEXCEL and AQA Exam Boards
I am also really interested in tutoring any age in English and History with SEND. I am a dyslexic student myself and wish to make education as accessible, enjoyable, and fulfilling as possible for all. I have experience with dyslexia, ADHD, chronic physical and mental health, as well as exam stress and anxiety.
I love to listen to music and read in my spare time, especially books by the Brontë Sisters. I live between London and the New Forest and my favourite way to relax is to walk my dog Millie! I also love to learn new things as much as possible, and at the moment, I am trying to teach myself how to play chess.
I have a first-class degree from Kings College London in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, a Masters in Religion and I am about to begin my MPhil/PhD Studies at Kings College London. This year I established a new academic journal from my department entitled the Journal for Interdisciplinary Theology which I am very proud of.
I have experience tutoring students with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism. My teaching practices focus on confidence building as the priority and are adaptable to each individual's learning styles and needs. I have over 200 hours of tutoring experience.
I like to tutor to build confidence first in my tutees. Everyone should feel like they can succeed in education, and education is for them. I have successfully navigated the challenges of having Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, as well as chronic health issues, throughout my academic journey. I was the child at school who was told I was lazy, that I didn't focus, and not to bother with my GCSEs. I am now in a position where I am about to start PhD Research. I have honed my skills in utilizing Readers, Scribes, and Extra Time accommodations during exam settings and I am therefore in a unique position to offer guidance to students on what it is like to use these provisions.
