I’m an experienced tutor, researcher and educator with a background in teaching at UCL and the Slade School of Fine Art. I hold a PhD in History of Art and work in the museum and gallery sector. Alongside my university teaching, I have mentored school-age children through the LGBTQ+ youth charity Just Like Us, providing inclusive support in English and the arts. I offer friendly, creative and student-centred tuition in History of Art, History, Philosophy and English, from GCSE to MA level, helping every learner build confidence, curiosity and critical thinking skills.
I have experience teaching and tutoring learners of all ages — from school-aged children to undergraduate and postgraduate students. I currently teach at the Slade School of Fine Art and have taught undergraduate courses and marked dissertations at UCL’s History of Art Department. I also offer 1-to-1 tutoring in History of Art, History, Philosophy and English, and have mentored school-age students in the arts and English through Just Like Us. My teaching style is friendly, supportive and student-first - I tailor each lesson to the individual, helping learners build confidence, think critically and express their ideas with clarity.
My teaching approach is student-first, creative and inclusive. I believe that learning is most effective when it is collaborative and tailored to the individual. In 1-to-1 sessions, I take the time to understand each student’s goals, interests and learning style, so that I can adapt my teaching to suit their needs.
I encourage students to think critically, ask questions and explore ideas with curiosity and confidence. Whether we are preparing for an exam, working on coursework, or developing essay-writing skills, I aim to create a supportive space where students feel empowered to express their own voice and approach complex topics with clarity.
My background in both academic teaching and the museum/gallery world allows me to bring a broad, interdisciplinary perspective to my lessons. I particularly enjoy helping students connect ideas across subjects and approach their learning in creative and thoughtful ways.
