I am a recently retired teacher of Chemistry. I live in Stirling.

Tutoring Experience

I taught Science & Chemistry to 11-18 year old students for 35 years. In that time I was Head of Chemistry of a large department for 20 years. I have prepared students for university entry & tutored Chemistry to individuals for 20 years. I have experience of conducting tutorials via Zoom. I have experience of working in both English and Scottish school systems.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in careful & thorough preparation. Students need to be provided with confidence and encouragement as well information and resources to work with. My manner and approach with students fosters this. I will set students tasks that I review between our meetings. This, I believe, is essential for my guidance to be personalised.
